Prime Minister Robert Golob receives former NASA astronaut Sunita Williams

SLOVENIA, January 13 - During their meeting, Prime Minister Golob and Ms Williams exchanged views on the vital importance of science, innovation and international cooperation in space research, and on Slovenia's role in global scientific projects. The Prime Minister emphasised that Ms Williams' visit provided an additional impetus for advancing Slovenian expertise, research, and technological ambitions in space, and was an important source of inspiration for young people.

Ms Williams is visiting Slovenia at the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Tanja Fajon, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Slovenians Abroad, Matej Arčon. Her visit is a significant opportunity to bolster international cooperation and to further promote Slovenia's scientific achievements, innovations, and space endeavours on the global stage.
